Revival Blog 89

As a Christian, I feel like the book of Revelation is unfolding before us. It shouldn’t be shocking, either, given the state of immorality in our world. Every day, the boundaries of sin seem to be pushed further and further. The line between right and wrong has slowly been erased by society, television, pop culture. Power, fame and money seems to be the only concern for some. We have name calling and finger pointing throughout our world with a lot of issues. The people that are making national and world decisions can’t get along and sometimes aren’t even trying. The media is out of control. Where is the love? Where is our humanity? What are we becoming?

Witchcraft, spiritualism, “New Age” belief systems are being celebrated and exalted. Abortions are called a “right”, and are supported by so many. We have been removed further from the world God created and intended.

We better work on getting it right with God. Getting it right with one another.

We need to take this time to re-evaluate ourselves. We need to prepare and repent. Jesus will return like a thief in the night. People are dying left and right. Will I be one of them? Will you? Are we ready? This is a fantastic wake up call, and I am taking it so seriously. I want to go home to my Father, when my time is up.

Until the Lord calls me away from this world to the next, I want to make it clear that I believe in Jesus Christ as the true Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was sacrificed on the Cross, died for our sins, and rose again. He loves us all dearly (far more than we deserve) and forgives our sins if we  repent. His Word says "whosoever believeth in Me, should not perish but have everlasting life”.

Therefore, my question to everyone reading this blog is “what if” the times we are living in today are reflective of what Egypt encountered in Exodus Chapters 7-11 as Pharaoh hardened his heart towards the Israelites. It is my conviction that we are living in the days of Matthew 24 and verse 6 is particularly important: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come”. Sin is rife and even churches are embracing those things which are strictly forbidden by God. The preaching of the Cross is unwelcomed, leaderships are unsaved and we now have carnal men and women making spiritual decisions. I am reminded of Psalm 93:5 “Your statutes, LORD, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days.” Holiness is now an anathema and instead of true worship of the Lord being the hallmark of our lives, we are down to an obligatory Sunday morning service with no desire for further worship services or prayer meetings.

I believe the sirens of heaven are sounding and the Lord’s return is imminent and judgement is happening on this earth. This is the beginning of woes (sorrows) because man has defiled God’s creation, rejected the Savior and wickedness prevails in unprecedented measure. 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".

If ever there is a time for a mighty revival to break out across this world, it is now. We need to see salvation firstly of the church-goer and then the world because we are grieving the heart of God. Warning to Preachers: Stop telling ditties and preach the Word in season and out of season with power and anointing. The focal point of every sermon must be the Cross of Christ and also re-evaluate your mid-week meeting schedule and place the focus on prayer.

To those who are truly born-again, we have a responsibility to live righteous lives before a holy God and intercede on behalf of those who lost and are heading for a Christless eternity. 4 April, 2020. Note: The first 5 paragraphs are taken from an article of an unknown writer and reproduced.
